Marmo di Carrara, varietà grigio Bardiglio
dimensioni: 25 x 17 x h 23
Come per tutte le sculture in marmo che ho fatto, ho realizzato questa figura essendo stato vincolato dalla forma del blocco.
Ho iniziato facendo 2 cerchi sulla parte anteriore, dopo di che ho iniziato a scolpire senza sapere cosa fare di preciso, volevo realizzare un viso umano, poi man mano che lo lavoravo vedevo che veniva ad assomigliare un pò ad un cane un pò ad un babbuino, ho unito queste 2 parole ed ecco “Canuino”.
Ho lucidato la parte del viso lasciando grezze le orecchie (solo raspate) per risaltare il contrasto e per far vedere le potenzialità di questo marmo.
Per il retro ho scritto la mia firma e titolo come se fossero occhi, naso e bocca
